Peninsula (Train to Busan 2)
"Peninsula," also known as "Train to Busan Presents: Peninsula," is a 2020 South Korean action horror film directed by Yeon Sang-ho. It is a standalone sequel to the highly successful 2016 film "Train to Busan."
Set four years after the events of the first film, "Peninsula" takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where South Korea has been overrun by zombies. The story follows a former soldier who, along with his team, is sent on a mission to retrieve a truck filled with money abandoned in the quarantined zone of Incheon, the peninsula referred to in the title. However, they soon find themselves in a desperate struggle for survival against both the undead and ruthless survivors.
While "Peninsula" received mixed reviews from critics compared to its predecessor, it was praised for its thrilling action sequences, visual effects, and world-building within the zombie genre. Despite some criticisms, the film was generally well-received by audiences and proved to be commercially successful.
