"Black Widow" is a superhero film produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. Directed by Cate Shortland, the film was released in 2021 as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).

The story of "Black Widow" follows Natasha Romanoff, also known as Black Widow, portrayed by Scarlett Johansson. The film is set between the events of "Captain America: Civil War" and "Avengers: Infinity War." Natasha finds herself on the run from the authorities after violating the Sokovia Accords. She is drawn back into her past when she encounters her former spy "family," including Yelena Belova, played by Florence Pugh, and Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, played by David Harbour.

As Natasha confronts her past and grapples with her identity as a former assassin, she becomes embroiled in a conspiracy involving the mysterious organization known as the Red Room, which trained her and other young women to become deadly operatives. Together with her makeshift family, Natasha sets out to dismantle the Red Room and confront its sinister leader, the ruthless Taskmaster.

"Black Widow" is praised for its action-packed sequences, dynamic performances, and exploration of Natasha Romanoff's backstory and character development. Scarlett Johansson delivers a compelling performance as the titular character, while Florence Pugh brings depth and humor to her role as Yelena Belova.

The film also addresses themes of family, redemption, and the consequences of one's actions, as Natasha confronts her past mistakes and seeks to make amends. "Black Widow" received positive reviews from critics and performed well at the box office, further solidifying its place within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
